Samsung has finally updated its Galaxy S series flagship’s design. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be the thinnest and lightest Ultra model to date, with flat sides, rounded corners, and a new frame design. Our first look at the rumoured design changes has now surfaced online, months before its official launch.
OnLeaks, a reputed tipster, has shared detailed renders of Samsung’s next flagship. Samsung’s signature camera setup on the back panel and a wider frame remind us of Sony’s recent Xperia flagships. As opposed to previous models in the lineup, which had rounded sides and sharp corners, the device in the renders has flat sides and gently rounded corners.
There is a power button and volume rocker on the right edge, a SIM card tray on the left, and antenna bands at the top and bottom. On the bottom edge, you can see the USB-C port and speaker grille.
Similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the camera setup has three large modules arranged in a column on the left. There is also a fourth camera module, a laser autofocus sensor, and a flash next to it. On the front, the Galaxy S25 Ultra features a flat display with uniformly thin bezels on all sides and a centred hole-punch for the selfie camera.
According to tipster Ice Universe, the weight of the S25 Ultra may have been revealed. It is expected that the handset will weigh 219 grams, as reported by the leaker.
We’ve heard this before, when Ice Universe claimed the Galaxy S25 Ultra measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm – the Galaxy S24 Ultra measures 162.3 x 79 x 8.6mm. While the form factor is more compact and lighter this year, CID says that the size of the display and battery will remain the same.
