It was reported last week that the OnePlus Ace 5 series will launch in November according to tipster Smart Pikachu. The Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are also expected to compete directly with the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro smartphones, which will also launch in March. Tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key details about both OnePlus devices on Weibo today.
It is reported that the Ace 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Ace 5 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Both phones are expected to be competitive with the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, which will be equipped with the same chipsets.
OnePlus’ Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are said to feature high-density silicon batteries with 6,000mAh capacities. The BOE X2 8T LTPO panel on both devices offers a 1.5K resolution with ultra-thin bezels on all sides. The middle frame will be made of right-angled metal for added durability.
A triple-camera setup with 50 megapixels is expected to be available without a periscope lens in the Ace 5 series. Both devices will feature an ultra-thin optical fingerprint sensor for security. According to a previous leak, the Ace 5 Pro will be made of ceramic.
The OnePlus Ace 5 may be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R in the global market. Meanwhile, the Ace 5 Pro may remain confirmed for the Chinese market.
