As soon as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip debuts in October, Xiaomi will launch new smartphones in the Xiaomi 15 series. In 2025, an Ultra model will be added to the lineup.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra leaks continue despite the phone’s launch still some way off. The camera specs for the Xiaomi 15 series have been revealed by Smartprix and leaker Kartikey.
Sony’s LYT-900 sensor is set to be revamped for the main module of the camera system. The low-light performance is expected to be improved.
In terms of telephoto lenses, a major upgrade will be made. On the 15 Ultra, Xiaomi will introduce a 200MP telephoto camera with a 10x optical zoom. It will replace its predecessor’s 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom.
In addition, a 50MP selfie camera is rumoured to replace the 32MP camera on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra, according to previous reports, will feature a micro-curve display on all four sides. There will be a 2K screen with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature up to 24GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. It will run on Android 15 based on HyperOS 2.0.
It may be powered by a 6,200mAh battery. According to reports, the phone may come in three different materials: leather, fibreglass, and ceramic.
