In India, POCO has entered the tablet market. Xiaomi’s POCO Pad 5G is the brand’s first offering. Globally, the device has already debuted, and the Indian version offers the same specifications. The device also shares many similarities with the Redmi Pad Pro, which was launched in the country earlier this month. Pricing is the only difference between the two devices.

The device comes with a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel that supports 2560 × 1600 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display features a brightness of 600nits and Dolby Vision support. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, fabricated by TSMC on a 4-nanometer scale. The device comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 flash memory.
There is an 8MP camera on the back with autofocus and another with an 8MP Selfie camera on the front. The device weighs 571 grams and is 7.52 mm thick. The Redmi Pad Pro comes with a massive 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charge support.
Pricing:
For the 8GB + 128GB variant, the POCO Pad 5G starts at Rs 22,999, while the 8GB + 256GB option costs Rs 24,999. Pistachio Green and Cobalt Blue are the colours available. From August 27, the tablet will be available on Flipkart. The brand is offering a free one-year membership to Times Prime and a six-month license to Microsoft Office 365. The purchase will be discounted by Rs 3,000 for SBI, HDFC, and ICICI Bank cardholders.
