It is usually kept under wraps until Apple’s next generation of iPhones is unveiled. A recent leak on Weibo via Smartprix appears to reveal details about both the iPhone 16 series and the iPhone SE 4.
It is still unclear whether these leaks are authentic, so take these details with a grain of salt.
iPhone 16 Pro:
It appears that the design of the iPhone 16 Pro is mostly unchanged from the iPhone 15 Pro, as revealed by leaked marketing materials. On the lower right side, there is a dedicated camera button.
Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to be powered by an A18 Pro chip, a logical upgrade over its predecessor.
Additionally, the leak indicates the phone’s ultrawide camera is 48MP and will have an ultra-thin prism reflection sensor. Apple’s Vision Pro headset could benefit from neural network technology allegedly built into the A18 Pro’s neural network engine.
The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to come in Black, White, Blue, and Yellow colours. We assume the Bronze option is reserved for the Pro Max model since no mention of it is made here.
iPhone SE 4:
The iPhone SE 4 will have a significant design upgrade, according to leaked promo material. Similar to the iPhone 14, the phone features a 6.1-inch display with a notch at the top for Face ID.
There’s a good chance that the A18 Bionic chip will be included, the same chipset expected to power the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone SE 4 would offer flagship-level performance at a competitive price if this is true. It is estimated to cost around 4199 Yuan (~ $599).
Despite the iPhone 14’s similar front design, the leak doesn’t reveal details about its back. According to rumors, it might keep the single rear camera setup found on previous SE models.
According to a recent report, the iPhone 16 line will launch on September 10. Meanwhile, the iPhone SE 4 is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
