The Galaxy S24 FE, Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition phone, is slated to launch soon. Despite not officially announcing the device yet, Samsung has already set up a support page for it on its website, and a recent leak reveals most of its specifications. ETNews reports that the smartphone will launch globally in October.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE is said to be powered by its Exynos 2400e processor, a toned-down version of the Exynos 2400 found in the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. Samsung’s custom Android skin, One UI 6.1.1, will run on the device.

A more budget-friendly option, the Galaxy A16, will launch sometime in December, according to ETNews. Despite the lack of specific details about the A16, it’s safe to assume it will appeal to users seeking an affordable Samsung.

Design:

It appears that the device closely resembles the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. There is a flat design and three camera rings on the back of the phone, which comes in black and green colour options. Due to the antenna lines, the frames are likely aluminium.

You’ll find the volume and power buttons on the right side of the midframe, whereas the bottom section has the SIM tray, USB-C port, and primary speaker grill.

Specs:

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top and sports up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness.

The Galaxy S24 FE will be powered by a new Exynos 2400e SoC which is a downgraded version of Exynos 2400 SoC. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.

A triple camera setup includes a 50MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP telephoto sensor, with 3x optical zoom, OIS, and a 12MP Ultra-wide sensor. The device will feature the same 10MP selfie shooter.

The Galaxy S24 FE will feature a 4,565mAh battery and 25W fast charging. Besides 15W wireless charging, the smartphone comes with an IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE, 5G, Wifi-6, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 & under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy S24 FE will boot Android 14 out of the box with One UI 6.1.1. The smartphone will receive four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.

It runs One UI 6.1.1, but Portrait Studio is only available on One UI 7. It’s unlikely this phone will launch with One UI 7. There are also other AI features such as Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate.
