A few days ago, Realme teased 320W charging tech. In terms of smartphone charging speed, it’s the fastest in the world with 320W SuperSonic Charge.
This 320W SuperSonic Charge technology fully charges a smartphone’s battery in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. One minute is all it takes to fill the cell up to 26%, and two minutes is all it takes to charge it over 50%.
The Realme’s 320W charging technology charges a 4,400 mAh battery in under 5 minutes, while Redmi’s 300W charging fills a 4,000 mAh battery in 4 minutes and 55 seconds.
The 320W charger is called Pocket Cannon, and it has a power density of 3.3W/cm3 while being similar in size to Realme’s 240W charger.
The Power Cannon supports mainstream charging protocols, including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC. Moreover, it has two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging – 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.
At today’s event, Realme also introduced the “AirGap” Voltage Transformer. It features contact-free electromagnetic conversion for smartphones to ensure high voltage remains isolated from the battery during faults like circuit breakdowns.
According to Realme, this transformer reduces the voltage to 20V to protect the battery. As a result, the 320W SuperSonic Charge achieves a power efficiency of approximately 98% through exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management.
Besides the 320W SuperSonic Charge, Realme introduced a 4,420mAh folded battery. There are four cells, each less than 3mm thick, providing a 10% increase in capacity over traditional designs. What does this mean for Realme? Will they launch a foldable device soon? Hopefully, we’ll find out soon.
Other new tech features:
However, Realme’s event wasn’t all about batteries and charging. For smartphones, the brand also introduced a solid-state button and anti-reflective display.
It offers intuitive tactile controls for instant zoom and quick clicks, giving the phone a dedicated camera feel.
Anti-reflective displays, on the other hand, minimize reflections by up to 80% and provide a paper-like texture for comfortable viewing in bright sunlight. Furthermore, it reduces power consumption and offers clear visibility at lower brightness levels.
As well as AI Motion Picture technology, Realme discussed AI Gaming Super Resolution. AI Motion Picture technology uses NEXT AI to create dynamic 25-frame videos, while AI Gaming Super Resolution uses on-device AI to ensure smooth, clear visuals. Additionally, Realme Holo Audio lets you adjust sound positioning so incoming call alerts do not interfere with your gaming experience.
