A new smartphone and earphone were launched by POCO in India recently: the M6 Plus 5G and the Buds X1. In the coming months, the brand will launch its first tablet in the country. On Flipkart, there is a microsite for the POCO Pad. At the May launch event for POCO F6, Xiaomi’s sub-brand confirmed the arrival of the tablet.

POCO has not yet disclosed the date on which the POCO Pad will be launched in India. The product will be available exclusively through Flipkart. As an advertisement for the upcoming offering, the brand refers to it as limitless entertainment. There are thin bezels around the display of the device. In the coming days, we will learn the official launch date.

POCO Pad was launched in May of this year in global markets. There is no information as to whether the Indian variant will have different specifications. Also, the Redmi Pad Pro was announced in the country last week, which is the same device as the POCO Pad. The positioning of POCO’s first tablet in India will therefore be of interest.

POCO Pad:

POCO Pad comes with a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel that supports 2560 × 1600 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display features a brightness of 600nits and  Dolby Vision support. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, fabricated by TSMC on a 4-nanometer scale. The device comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 flash memory.

There is an 8MP camera on the back with autofocus and another with an 8MP Selfie camera on the front. The device weighs 571 grams and is 7.52 millimeters thick. The Redmi Pad Pro comes with a massive 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charge support.

The audio is played back by four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers. The POCO Pad comes with Android 14 OS with HyperOS on top. The connectivity option includes Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C 2.0.
