Samsung is developing a new Galaxy A-series smartphone. EE and the IMEI database have already listed the Galaxy A16 5G. Geekbench has now benchmarked the device. In the listing, key details about the upcoming offering are revealed. This year’s Galaxy A15 5G will be replaced by the Galaxy A16 5G.

Geekbench lists the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G as SM-A166P. The codename a16xm is mentioned in the database. There are six cores clocked at 2GHz and two cores clocked at 2.40GHz. The smartphone will likely be powered by an Intel Dimensity 6300 processor. We can expect more options at launch, as it is listed with 6GB of RAM. Out of the box, the device will run Android 14.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G scores 512 and 1,464 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. No additional details about the smartphone are revealed by the benchmarking platform. Samsung is also expected to offer a 4G version of the Galaxy A16, according to the UK carrier listing.  Samsung Galaxy A16 5G may feature upgrades over its predecessor.
