Motorola just announced its latest Edge model in India – the Edge 50.

Motorola Edge 50:

The new Motorola Edge 50 will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ 10-bit pOLED curved display. It comes with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400p with 10-bit colours & supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device gets in-display fingerprint scanner support & comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition (2.5 GHz Cortex-A710 core).  It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage space.

The Motorola Edge 50 will feature a 50MP main Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide with 120-degrees FoV. Lastly, we also got a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. There is a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.

The connectivity options include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual 5G support, USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4 support, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS. It arrives in three colors Jungle Green, Peach Fuzz, and Koala Grey.  Additionally, this device has passed over 30 tests for temperature, humidity, dust, and drops and is the slimmest IP68 and MIL 810H-certified phone on the market at 7.79mm.

All this is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 68W fast charge support. The device also supports 15W wireless & 5W reverse wireless charging. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box. The company promised to provide Android updates for two years and security patches for three years.

The Motorola Edge 50 will cost Rs.27,999/- for 8GB+256GB in India. You can get Rs. 2000 instant discount with Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank credit cards and credit card EMIs or you can get an additional Rs. 2000 discount on exchange with those credit cards. On August 8, Flipkart and offline stores will open for open sales.
