In India, Vivo has confirmed the launch date of its V40 and V40 Pro smartphones. Earlier this week, its microsite of the upcoming smartphones went live on the Vivo India website and Flipkart, revealing details about the phones.
The Vivo V40 series will launch in India on August 7th, 2024. It is expected that the launch event will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel at 12 pm. It has also been confirmed that the Vivo V40 series will be sold on Flipkart. On the e-commerce platform, the new phones have their own microsite.
According to the Flipkart microsite, the V40 Pro will be equipped with three rear cameras, including a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary camera with optical image stabilization. Besides the primary camera, the device will have a 50MP ultrawide angle camera and a 50MP telephoto portrait camera with 2x optical and 50X ZEISS telephoto zoom.
Vivo V40 Pro will be available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey. The vanilla Vivo V40 is available in Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey. In addition to the Aura light, smartphones will have a large oval-shaped rear camera hump.
Both smartphones will be IP68 dust and water-resistant, with a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. As well as supporting 80W fast wired charging technology, Vivo claims the upcoming smartphones will be the slimmest to pack a 5,500mAh battery.
