This time, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the focus of a leak regarding the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series.

It is expected that the standard and Pro models will launch shortly after Qualcomm releases the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, making them the first to use this new SoC. However, the Ultra variant is expected to launch in Q1 2025. Leaks about the phone have been trickling out, revealing details about it.

According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the phone will have a dual-layer OLED display with 2K resolution. As compared to single-layer OLED panels, this technology, recently dubbed “Tandem OLED” by Apple, offers improved brightness and HDR performance.

With the Magic 6 Ultimate, Honor introduced the term earlier than Apple. The stacked OLED trend seems to be one Xiaomi is ready to embrace, however.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors. In addition to 24GB of RAM, the leak suggests a battery capacity of over 6000mAh.

The downside is that it might be heavy and large, which might come at a cost. According to Smart Pikachu, the 15 Ultra won’t be light or thin. With a thickness of 9.2mm and a weight of 229.5 grams, Xiaomi’s current flagship, the 14 Ultra, is already quite hefty. In the event the leak is accurate, the 15 Ultra could be a real hand-filler.
