According to reports earlier this year, there are three foldable devices in development: the B6, the Q6 and the Q6a. First up, we have the Z Flip6 and Z Fold6. “Q6a” was speculated to be the Galaxy Z Fold FE, Z Fold Slim, or Z Fold Ultra.
GalaxyClub has found evidence that developers are building firmware for a phone with model number SM-F958N. As a reference, the Z Fold6 is the SM-F956. A device’s last digit indicates its class and its final letter indicates its region. Korea uses “N”, while Chinese models use “0”.
In addition, the SM-F958N firmware supports country codes KOO, KTC, SKC, and LUC. These include South Korea (unlocked), KT roaming, SK Telecom, and LG U+. They are for the three biggest carriers in South Korea and an unbranded model.
According to Allround-PC, the Q6a model, Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra, or whatever its name ends up being, will also launch in China. According to reports, the launch will take place in Korea and China in October.
It is likely that this is the Samsung W25. In China, Samsung’s foldable devices have different branding (W instead of Z) and exteriors. Here’s the Samsung W24 and the Galaxy Z Fold5 from last year. The W24 came with 16GB of RAM, while the international model only had 12GB.
Samsung will reportedly unveil the Galaxy Tab S10 series (and possibly its XR headset and more) in October, so this may rival the July Unpacked.
