On July 19, Xiaomi will unveil the Mix Fold 4 in China at 7pm (local time). Xiaomi’s Mix Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra are expected to debut at the same launch event. The company has confirmed the launch date, as well as the design and key specifications of the Mix Fold 4.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4:
Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 4 poster reveals that it will be available in blue and white shades. Its back panel has a rectangular camera module with a slight curve at its bottom edge. According to a recent leak, the Mix Fold 4 will also be available in black.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, so it can compete with the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the Honor Magic V3, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. The highest variant of the Mix Fold 4 will have 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, according to a recent report.
Mix Fold 4 will be the first foldable phone to feature the Xiaomi Dragon Bone Hinge 2.0, which improves reliability while maintaining thinness. With T800H high-strength carbon fibre full-carbon architecture, the device is lightweight. It weighs 226 grams and measures 9.47 millimetres thick. It will be water-resistant to IPX8 standards when it comes to durability.
Besides the 5X periscope lens and the portrait telephoto lens, the Mix Fold 4 has a Leica quad-camera setup, enabling telephoto macro photography. It also offers 50W wireless charging and two-way satellite communication.
Redmi K70 Ultra:
Redmi K70 Ultra, or the Extreme Edition, was officially announced by Xiaomi today. Along with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Xiaomi Smart Band 9, the phone will be unveiled in China on July 19th at 19:00 CST.
With its MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, the Redmi K70 Ultra offers high-end processing capabilities. Thomas Wang, Redmi’s General Manager, confirmed the company will offer a 24GB RAM and 1TB storage variant.
This is the first Redmi phone to utilize Xiaomi’s AISP imaging algorithm, which improves overall camera performance.
The Redmi K70 Ultra also features Xiaomi’s Pengpai T1 signal enhancement chip. According to reports, it boosts WiFi performance by 12%, GPS performance by 20%, and 5G WiFi signal strength by 58%.
As well as this, the phone will have a Surge P2 chip for fast charging, a G1 chip for power management, and a D1 chip for independent display processing. Xiaomi developed all of these SoCs in-house.
Xiaomi Smart Band 9
On July 19th at 7 PM, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 will be released. During Lei Jun’s annual speech, the new fitness tracker will be revealed.
As with its predecessor, the Smart Band 8, the Smart Band 9 comes in a variety of colours and wristbands. Furthermore, its runway-shaped design features in-polar automatic brightness adjustment and a quick-disassembly structure that makes it suitable for wearing as a necklace
Beyond its design similarities to the Band 8, Xiaomi has not revealed specific details about the Band 9. The new model is likely to include upgraded health tracking features, possibly enhanced battery life, and maybe even new customization options due to advancements in wearable technology. A complete picture of what the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 offers will be revealed with the official announcement.
Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport
Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport and a new foldable device will be unveiled at the event. Watch S4 Sport will be the company’s first professional sports smartwatch. According to reports, it will have a titanium body, sapphire on the front and back, and a rotating crown. Taking a look at the appearance and design, it looks like the product can be somewhat comparable to the Apple Watch Ultra.
It has a circular OLED screen and a 586mAh battery, according to certification listings. You can also use it without a smartphone since it supports eSIM. When it comes to connectivity and usability, it lets you answer calls, send messages, and open certain apps directly on the watch. Among other features, it supports GPS, NFC, and heart rate monitoring.
Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport supports 10W charging, has a focus on battery life, and comes pre-installed with HyperOS, according to a previous report.
