Acer will launch Acer branded smartphones in partnership with Indkal Technologies soon after launching smart TVs. A trademark licensing agreement has been reached between the two brands. With this partnership, Indkal Technologies will manufacture and distribute smartphones under the Acer brand in India.
With this partnership, Acer-branded phones will be available in India. With the Acer brand, Indkal Technologies will launch a variety of smartphone models in mid-2024. The exact timeline has not yet been revealed. Smartphones priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000 will be the focus of the companies.
A significant market share is expected to be gained quickly by the company. In addition to robust specifications, the phones will likely include artificial intelligence capabilities. Acer stated in a statement that they have been working on smartphones for a couple of years and the announcement will come when they are ready.
Acer-branded smartphones will be manufactured in India under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Both e-commerce platforms and offline retail stores will offer these devices.
