Samsung used to release “s” versions of some of its midrange phones, with improved specs over the ‘vanilla’ models without “s”. While it hasn’t done so in a while, it appears to be ready to go back to it.

Samsung’s SM-M558B smartphone, certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, might be the Galaxy M55s soon. The Galaxy M55’s model number is SM-M556B. In addition to supporting dual-band Wi-Fi, there are no other details about the device – other than the higher number strongly suggesting an s version.

If history repeats itself, the M55s should at least offer a little more. Once we find out what it will be, we’ll let you know.
