In Round 1, which concluded on June 15th, 2024, OPPO India received 34,000+ entries from photographers across India.

In 2023, OPPO launched the imagine IF Photography Awards to showcase OPPO’s camera technology and inspire creativity in mobile photography. After the success of the inaugural edition, the competition has made its way to India this year.

A total of nine categories were offered to Indian citizens over 18 years of age: Landscape, Portrait, Colors, Unfading Moment, Fashion, Snapshot, Light, Travel, and Collection. Among the 34,000+ entries, the ‘Portrait’ category garnered 26% of the submissions. A 20% participation rate was recorded for ‘Landscape’.

By the end of June, the top 50 photographers will move on to Round 2 and the final six winners will be announced on July 25, 2024. During Round 2, the shortlisted photographers will be able to shoot exclusively on our flagship OPPO Find X7 Ultra device and experience the world’s first Quad Main Camera. It will be exciting to see the next set of photos and the creativity they will showcase.” said Sushant Vashistha.

To generate excitement around the competition, OPPO India released a brand video on its Instagram page featuring SS Rajamouli with TV Producer and Actor, Raghu Ram. Raghu, as the judge of a photography contest, loses his cool over the contestants’ photography skills in true Raghu fashion. Raghu’s disappointment and anger are consistently rising. SS Rajamouli then enters the scene and advises Raghu to nurture creativity instead of suppressing it. As a result, Raghu’s attitude changes, and he shares encouraging feedback with the contestants with a big smile.

A panel of expert photographers is judging the Imagine IF entries, including celebrity wedding and portrait photographer Joseph Radhik. We also have wildlife photographer Aarzoo Khurana, and fashion photographer Arjun Mark.
