Samsung is on the verge of launching its sixth-generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. In July, Samsung is expected to unveil the new foldables at its mid-year Galaxy Unpacked event. There has already been a great deal revealed about both through leaks.
As a start, Galaxy Unpacked will be held on July 24th, not June 10th as previously reported. Samsung is a major sponsor of the Olympic Games this year and will use it to promote its new devices as much as possible. For maximum promotion, the company decided to announce the devices two days before the Olympics.
In Europe, Samsung will increase the prices of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 by €100 (Rs.9,100/-). There won’t be many major hardware upgrades for the foldables, according to the report, with a new processor and a 50MP primary camera for the Flip the only notable upgrades. According to reports, Samsung did not reduce the display crease, which contradicts existing rumors.
A new AI feature and improved software experience could help Samsung justify the higher prices, according to this report. Despite that, charging an extra €100 or $100 may not be sufficient. It would be better if the company focused on making foldables more affordable while also improving their quality and durability.
There’s more contradictory information in this report. There are no plans to launch the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra or any other foldable in July, according to the company. As a result, we won’t see the rumored Fan Edition (FE) or Slim-branded foldables. It is possible that Samsung is still developing those.
