According to a new image shared by CEO Carl Pei on X, a new Nothing Phone might be in the works. The company redesigned its Quick Settings menu, and Pei shared images of how people liked it. A new button has been added to the Nothing Phone shown in the image. It is speculated that this could be the design of the alleged Nothing Phone (3).
Observing the image Pei shared, the Nothing smartphone seen here has a right-side power button and a left-side volume key. Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a) have the same placement. The power button is also accompanied by an additional button. The new button is suspected to be an ‘Action’ button like the iPhone 15 series.
You can customize these shortcut buttons to perform specific tasks. For now, it’s just speculation, but it builds curiosity about the Nothing Phone (3). As Nothing Phone (2) launched in July last year, the time for a successor is also approaching.
As for the redesign teased by Pei, some things haven’t changed in the Quick Settings menu. With the Quick Settings toggle now displayed with traditional circular icons, you can collapse and expand the view. New toggles for mobile data and Wi-Fi have been introduced, and the brightness slider has been moved to the bottom of the screen. Now it looks even thicker. A slider allows you to switch between Ring and Vibration modes.
