Sony is about to introduce the new flagship lineup with Sony Xperia 1 VI later this month. Ahead of the launch we now have the detailed specs sheet with press images leaked online. This time the leak not only reveals the specs but also shows the new Xperia 1 VI in full glory.
Design:
With frosted textured glass on its rear and fine slits for improved grip along the sides, the Xperia 1 VI will offer options in black and platinum silver colors.
Specs:
The OLED display boasts 1.5 times the brightness of its predecessor, along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and variable refresh rates spanning from 1Hz to 120Hz. These specifications confirm earlier leaks indicating the device’s departure from a 4K display.
The display may come equipped with features like BRAVIA HDR Remaster technology and Sunlight Vision mode, aiming to enhance visibility and visual quality, especially outdoors.
The phone is set to include a triple rear camera setup comprising an ultrawide-angle 16mm lens, a wide-angle 24mm lens (which offers 48mm with 2X Optical Zoom), and a telephoto zoom 85-170mm lens (providing up to 7X Zoom capability).
Each camera is anticipated to sport a 48MP Exmor T lens. Sony plans to introduce a unified camera app merging Photography Pro, Videography Pro, and Cinema Pro functionalities into one. Additionally, it will integrate human pose estimation technology to enhance subject focusing and introduce a new Video Creator app, streamlining video production processes.
The Xperia 1 VI is speculated to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, engineered with enhanced heat diffusion and a vapor chamber for effective heat management. There’s a possibility of it housing a robust 5000mAh battery equipped with wireless and reverse wireless charging capabilities, along with upgraded battery health technology.
Expect cutting-edge audio performance with a new high-performance audio chip, supporting Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, 360 Reality Audio, LDAC, and DSEE Ultimate. It will continue to feature a 3.5mm jack for wired audio enthusiasts, alongside gaming-centric attributes like a 240Hz touch scanning rate and an FPS optimizer.
In certain regions, purchasers might enjoy a complimentary one-year subscription to Sony Pictures movie streaming, coupled with up to five remastered movie titles featuring IMAX video and DTS sound optimized specifically for the Xperia 1 VI.
