You’d think you know everything about Google’s next mid-tier phone based on all the Pixel 8a leaks we’ve seen this week, but nothing is official until it’s officially announced. According to a new leak, the phone’s price could go either way, and Google could unveil it earlier than expected.
According to rumors, the Pixel 8a will have a curved design, a 120Hz display, and a Tensor G3 chip. Aside from being supported as long as the Pixel 8, it will also feature many of the same AI-powered features that make its more expensive siblings a top smartphone of 2024.
According to leaker billbil-kun, the phone might not cost the same as its Pixel 7a in Europe, contrary to a recent report from a credible tipster.
The price for the 128GB variant is reported to be 549 euros (Rs.49,200/-), making it 40 euros more than the Pixel 7a. It is rumored that the 256GB model will cost 609 euros (Rs.54,500/-). Also, only black will be available for the 256GB model.
Pre-orders will open on May 7, a week before Google I/O, and the phone will hit stores on May 14, the same day I/O takes place.
Pre-orders for the phone were opened before the phone was formally announced, which makes no sense. There is no mention of another event or a soft launch for the Pixel 8a in the leak.
