Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad SE tablet in India at the Smarter Living event. The device was originally launched last August in China and comes with an 11-inch display, Snapdragon 680 chipset, and 8,000mAh battery. Due to the lack of 4G connectivity, the tablet will only be available as a Wi-Fi-only model.

The brand also unveiled the Redmi Buds 5A in India in addition to the Redmi Pad SE tablet.

Redmi Pad SE:

Xiaomi’s new Redmi Pad SE comes with an 11-inch LCD panel that supports 1200 × 1920 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 90Hz. It features a brightness of 400 nits and a 10-bit color depth.

It is powered by the SD680 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 flash memory. There is an 8MP camera on the back with autofocus & 5MP selfie shooter.

There is an 8000 mAh battery on the Redmi Pad SE, which should last for at least a day. The device comes with 10W charging support. It weighs 478 grams and is 7.36 millimeters thick. Redmi Pad SE also gets dual-frequency Wi-Fi, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The audio is played back by four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers. Android 13 is used in the tablet version with an adapted MIUI interface. Face unlock will be supported instead of a fingerprint scanner on the Redmi Pad SE. Other features will include a virtual ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a hall sensor, and support for the Redmi Stylus for Pad.

There are three colors available for the Redmi Pad SE – Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green. The Redmi Pad SE with 4GB+128GB at Rs.12,999/-, Rs.13,999/- for 6GB+128GB & 8GB+128GB at Rs.14,999 in India. On April 24th, Amazon, Flipkart, Xiaomi’s website, and Xiaomi retail stores will start selling the Redmi Pad SE.

Redmi Buds 5A:

For proper calls even in noisy environments, the Redmi Buds 5A TWS come with ‘Active Noise Cancellation’ support for up to 25db. You can also use the transparency mode to keep an eye on your surroundings. The earbuds are powered by 12mm drivers, which deliver immersive audio and dynamic audio. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, IPX4 rating, and Google Fast Pair.

On a single charge, Xiaomi claims the Redmi Buds 5A can last up to 30 hours. You can charge the device in just 10 minutes, which is claimed to give you 90 minutes of playtime. There is a ‘Low Latency’ feature for quick response and touch control to control music on the earbuds.

On April 29th, Redmi Buds 5A will be available at a special launch price of Rs 1,499 via Mi.com, Xiaomi and Reliance stores. There will be two colors available: black and white.
