In February, a major leak revealed the key specifications of the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro. In any case, it didn’t mention specifically which chipsets operate these smartphones. The chipsets of both smartphones along with some of their other specs have been revealed in a new leak on Weibo today.
As per the source, the new Oppo Reno12 will ship with Dimensity 8300 SoC whereas the Reno12 Pro with Dimensity 9200+ SoC. The Chinese variants of the Reno11 and Reno =11 Pro were powered by the Dimensity 8200 and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets.
According to the leak, the Reno12’s screen will have a 1080p resolution, while the Pro variant’s display will have a 1.5K resolution. Both phones’ screens feature micro curvature on all four sides.
Additionally, the Reno12 series will have a plastic middle frame and a glass back. Both phones will feature a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom on the back. Additionally, both phones support fast charging at 80W.
The Oppo Pad 3 powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also being developed, according to recent reports. Moreover, a new leak claims that the brand will also launch earphones. These devices are expected to be released in a similar manner to the Reno12 lineup. Therefore, it appears that the brand may also launch other devices in China in June besides the Reno12 series.
