In November of last year, Redmi released its K70 series running on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Tipster “Smart Pikachu” predicted that there would only be two Redmi K80 models this year – the Redmi K80 Pro and the Redmi K80. Redmi Note series devices may replace the more affordable Redmi K80E.
Redmi K80 series development progress has been accelerated, according to the tipster. According to reports, the device will feature a 5500mAh battery, which is 500mAh more than its predecessor.
Like the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro, it will also have a 2K display. The peak brightness level, however, was not mentioned. According to the industry trend, local peak brightness support could be even higher.
As per the tipster, the Redmi K80 series will also feature different Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 4 chips for the standard and pro models. For the standard and Pro models of the Redmi K70 series, we saw SD8G2 AND SD8G3. According to previous reports, the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro could be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The phone is also reported to have a metal frame and glass back.
The phone could release in November, or at least before October, which is the anticipated month of release for the upcoming flagship Snapdragon chip. As of now, there is no information about the price.
