Chinese MIIT recently approved Xiaomi phone model 24053PY09C. It has been rumored that this device is the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4. Xiaomi’s Civi phones are confirmed for the Chinese market, as is well known. The Xiaomi 14 Lite may be headed to the Indian market in a rebranded version.

The BIS authority in India has found a new device with model number 24053PY09I. According to CMIIT, the 24053PY09C model number is the Civi 4. Accordingly, it seems that an Indian rebranded version of the Civi 4 is in the works.

Previously, Xiaomi Civi 2 was released globally under the Xiaomi 13 Lite moniker. Therefore, the Civi 4 may be rebranded or tweaked for India with Xiaomi 14 Lite branding.

Xiaomi launched its Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G back in October 2021. However, a smartphone bearing the “Lite” brand has been introduced this year. In other markets, Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 13 Lite were released, but they were skipped for India. Lite may be bringing back to India a 14-series phone branded with the Lite brand.

Xiaomi Civi 4 specs include a curved-edge OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a dual front-facing camera with LED flash. The main camera is expected to be a 50MP Lecia Lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). With a 5,000mAh battery and 90W fast charging, it will provide a long battery life.
