Qualcomm has finally announced the next launch event for its affordable chipset aka the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 & Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
An event to introduce Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon chip will take place on March 18th in China. According to reports, this is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635) SoC that uses a similar architecture to the 8 Gen 3. As for the CPU, it is said to be 1 x 3.01GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720 + 3 x 1.84GHz Cortex-A520, using a similar architecture to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but with Adreno 735 GPU.
In comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the 7+ Gen 3 offers a clock speed close to high-end processors. Its architecture reportedly mirrors the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with a “1+4+3” core configuration. It is expected that the four A720 middle cores will run at 2.6GHz, while the three A520 efficient cores will likely run at 1.9GHz. Graphics performance will be enhanced thanks to the Adreno 732 GPU.
Rumours suggest that the realme GT Neo6 will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the realme GT Neo6 SE is reported to feature a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor (SM7675). The upcoming iQOO Neo9 series phone and the vivo Pad 3 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 are also rumored. OnePlus Ace 3V (Nord 4/5) allegedly packs Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC.
