After months of leaks and rumors finally we have the Nothing Phone (2a) officially launched today. The new Nothing Phone (2a) is the direct successor to Nothing Phone 1 which was launched in 2022.
Design:
This model has a slightly different design approach. A centrally placed circular island surrounds the dual-camera setup on the rear panel, unlike Phone (1) and Phone (2).
A pill-shaped cutout at the center of the island contains two sensors. There is a concentric texture surrounding the cutout that extends to the island’s edge. Near the top right of the camera modules is the flash module. Glyph Lights surround the camera island. There are three light strips on the phone: two on the left and one on the right.
From the camera island to the bottom of the smartphone, the semi-transparent design reveals a bunch of screws. On the bottom left corner, the phone is also branded with Nothing’s logo. There are minimal bezels on the front, a central punch-hole camera, metallic buttons, and a frame.
Specs:
The new Nothing Phone (2a) will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front. The Nothing Phone (2a) is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
The new Nothing Phone (2a) will feature a 50MP Samsung GN9 (f/1.8) main sensor along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor with LED flash. There is a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. It packs a 4500 mAh battery with 45W fast charge support.
The Nothing Phone (2a) will run on Android 14 OS with Nothing OS 2.5 on top. Sadly, no charger is included in the retail package. The device also gets IP54 certified making it splashproof. The brand is also promising 3 years of major Android OS updates with 4 years of Security patches.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, and Wifi 6. Further A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Pricing:
The new Nothing Phone (2a) with 8GB+128GB costs Rs.23,999/-, 8GB+256GB at Rs.25,999/- & 12GB+256GB at Rs.27,999/- in India. Further, there is a flat Rs.2000/- discount on HDFC Bank Credit card also Rs.2000/- additional off on exchange. It will go on sale via Flipkart from March 12. The Nothing Phone (2a) comes in White, Milky White, and Black colors.
On first sale Nothing Phone (2a) would cost around Rs,19,999/- inclusive of all offers for the base variant in India.
