OnePlus Watch originally ran a proprietary OS three years ago. OnePlus has gone back to the drawing board since then and brought significant changes to its new model – the OnePlus Watch 2.

Dual Engine Architecture:

In this system, two chipsets and two operating systems work together, forming a “Dual Engine Architecture”. With the Snapdragon W5, you have full access to the Wear OS app store. In addition, the BES2700 runs a low-power real-time operating system (RTOS).

With Smart Mode, you can run Google Maps, Assistant, Wallet, Calendar, Keep, Gmail, you name it. The watch comes with 20 watch faces and 80 more can be downloaded. When used regularly, the 500mAh battery lasts up to 100 hours, and when used heavily, it lasts up to 48 hours.

With the Power Saver Mode, you can still access a lot of features, including sleep and heart rate tracking, sports mode, and even making and receiving calls. The watch can last up to 12 days when Power Saver is enabled.

If you are in a rush, you can get a full day’s battery life in just 10 minutes (in Smart Mode) by charging the 7.5W VOOC fast charger in 60 minutes.

Specs:

The stainless steel body of the OnePlus Watch 2 measures 47.0 x 46.6 x 12.1mm. It weighs 49g by itself and 80g with the fluoro rubber strap (with a stainless steel buckle) because stainless steel is harder than aluminum.

The 1.43-inch AMOLED display is protected by 2.5D sapphire glass. With a resolution of 466 x 466px and a refresh rate of 60Hz. For outdoor visibility, it can reach 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode. The watch has a 5 ATM water resistance rating, making it suitable for swimming. Additionally, it adheres to MIL-STD-810H.

The device has dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5) and supports the major constellations (including Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS). There are also a compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and a light sensor for adjusting the screen’s brightness. In addition to the optical pulse oximeter, there is a digital one as well.

Features:

In addition to detecting your sleep phases and rating your sleep quality, it can also monitor your breathing rate and oxygen levels, as well as assess your risk for snoring. As the sensor monitors heart rate variability, stress monitoring is also available.

With the running mode, you can track metrics like vertical amplitude, ground contact time, balance, maximal oxygen consumption, and stride length using GPS and other sensors. You can now use your watch as a running coach in addition to tracking your progress.

Likewise, Tennis and Badminton modes keep track of swings taken and shots played. In Skiing mode, you can track your maximum and average speed, slope and altitude.

For apps that require it, Wear OS 4 provides 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage – this allows you to store offline maps, music, etc.
