Xiaomi launched its Watch 2 Pro last September. According to reports, the company is working on a new smartwatch. Xiaomi Watch 2 is expected to drop the ‘Pro’ suffix. Winfuture has now shared key information about its upcoming Xiaomi Watch 2.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 will likely have the same design as the Watch 2 Pro, except for one difference – it will not have a functioning crown. There will be a circular AMOLED display measuring 1.43 inches with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, and always-on mode will be available for both models. Due to the glass cover, the large bezel surrounding the screen is not visible at first glance. It will be water-resistant to 5ATM.
Xiaomi Watch 2 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 quad-core chipset, the same as the Pro model. The battery life is claimed to be 65 hours. In addition to running Google’s wearOS, the wearable device may include pre-installed apps such as Google Wallet, Google Maps, and Play Store. Xiaomi Watch 2 will have Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi, NFC, GPS, and GNSS. The device will not be LTE-compatible.
There will be 150 sports modes available on the Xiaomi Watch 2. Additionally, it will feature sleep monitors, SpO2 sensors, heart rate monitors, and step counters.
In addition, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is already available at several retailers for a price between EUR 199 and EUR 219, depending on the country.
