Apple is expected to launch new iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air models “around the end of March,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. According to his Power On newsletter today, Apple’s supply chain in Asia is well underway for its new iPad Pro models and a new 13-inch MacBook Air.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple’s new iPad Pro and M3 MacBook Air are already in production. It is expected to be released by the end of March.
Gurman anticipates March launches of a new generation of 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs with M3 chips, as well as a redesigned iPad Pro lineup with OLED displays.
iPads:
Apple is due to update the entire iPad lineup in 2024 after not releasing new iPad hardware in 2023. New iPad Air and iPad Pro models will be released in March.
A new Magic Keyboard with an aluminum base will accompany the new iPad Pro, according to Mark Gurman. According to the iOS 17.4 beta code, the new iPad Pro will feature a landscape-oriented front camera.
The biggest new feature of the 2024 iPad generation will be the switch to OLED panels for the first time. The new iPad screen will be able to display a wider range of colors, a higher level of contrast, as well as potentially more power efficiency for a longer battery life.
For spring, a larger-screen iPad Air is also expected, bringing the 12.9-inch iPad form factor to an affordable price point.
MacBook Air:
MacBook Airs with M3 chips are expected to maintain the same industrial design as last year’s base 14-inch MacBook Pro, but will use the M3 chip. Due to production delays on the 15-inch model, the M3 versions of these laptops will launch simultaneously on both 13-inch and 15-inch models.
