The next-generation flagship Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on January 17. Additionally, Galaxy A-series phones are expected to be announced by the South Korean brand. Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A25 5G and A15 5G in global markets. Earlier today, press renders of the Galaxy A55, the next phone in the A-series, surfaced and raised anticipation. According to a new report, that is not the case.
Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy A55 sometime in the second quarter of 2024, according to SamMobile. The device may be unveiled between April and June. It is also a few months later than Samsung’s usual launch timeline for mid-range Galaxy A5x phones. The Galaxy A35 and A55 are also expected to be launched around the same time by the South Korean brand. Whether Samsung will announce the Galaxy A7x-series smartphone remains to be seen. Last year, Samsung skipped launching the Galaxy A74.
Recent press renders of the Galaxy A55 are in line with CAD-based leaks. According to the former, the device will be available in Iceblue, Lilac, and Navy colors. There will be a metal frame and a ‘key island’ on the right side of the device housing the power and volume buttons.
Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy A55 would feature an Exynos 1480 processor and AMD GPUa support. With 5,000mAh battery capacity and support for 25W fast charging, it is likely to be backed by a powerful battery.
