Realme is back with some new and exciting launches later this month. Previously we saw Realme teasing the alleged Realme 12 series on Twitter. The teaser didn’t mention the actual device name instead teaser will feature a periscopic lens. Now the company has posted a second teaser which reveals the announcement date.

As per the post, Realme is all set to announce the launch date of the next smartphone probably the Realme 12 Pro series on Jan 3. Yes, the launch details will be out on Jan 3 at 7:30 AM IST for India. Apart from that nothing much about the device is known at the moment.

Realme will incorporate the flagship-level OV64B periscope zoom unit into its upcoming Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones. Digital Chat Station has once again confirmed that mid-range camera-focused smartphones will launch soon. Reports indicate that the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ have model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840, respectively.

The Realme 12 Pro series smartphone will be equipped with the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, according to Digital Chat Station. Based on a 4nm process, the chipset contains one Cortex-A715 core at 2.63GHz, three Cortex-A715 cores at 2.4GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz, and an Adreno GPU. In contrast to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, the chipset is less powerful.

Realme will equip the Realme 12 Pro smartphone with a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, according to the tip. Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to have a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Many upcoming mid-range smartphones will feature the OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor, according to DCS. Additionally, the tipster shared a concept render of the Realme number series smartphone. The concept render shows two circular cameras, a rectangular periscope lens, and an LED flash.
