The OnePlus Ace 3 will launch in China on January 4th, while the OnePlus 12R will launch in the global market on January 23rd. With the latest revealing phone’s design and a new Sand Gold color option, OnePlus has already begun teasing the Ace 3 in China. This option, however, may not be available everywhere.
While this is going on, the OnePlus team worldwide has been quiet. OnePlus 12R’s international color options were uncovered by tipster Ishan Agarwal in a recent leak. According to the tipster, the OnePlus 12R is available in blue and black in official promotional materials.
Design-wise, the OnePlus 12R looks very similar to its Chinese counterpart, and its specifications will probably be similar as well.

The new OnePlus 12R aka Ace 3 will sport a massive 6.78 inches 1.5K(2772×1240p) BOE X1 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. It comes with 4500nits peak brightness, 1600nits peak full-screen brightness, DisplayMate A+ rating, & Dolby vision support. OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a metal mid-frame chassis, according to the tipster.
The device comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
It comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the back, the OnePlus 12R will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro sensor and LED flash. There is the same 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.
The OnePlus Ace 3 packs a massive 5500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.0 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wifi 6e, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.
