Wang Teng Thomas, Xiaomi’s Product Director, announced today on Weibo that the upcoming Redmi K70 Pro will be launched on November 29, marking Redmi’s 10th anniversary. The official release is just hours away.
Featuring a ‘second-generation 2K screen,’ the Redmi K70 Pro boasts a peak brightness of 4000 nits. A number of enhancements have been made to the screen, including improvements in colors, touch sampling rate, and, most importantly, built-in eye care solutions.
Under medical guidance, Redmi has collaborated with eye hospitals to create eye care solutions and promote the comprehensive evolution of eye care standards.
According to TCL, the screen’s second-generation C8 display panel offers low power consumption for a given brightness, enabling the 4000nit rating. The 4000 nits brightness does not appear to apply to the entire panel, but rather to a smaller portion of it. Under bright light, the Xiaomi 14 achieves a peak brightness of 2800 nits, but only for 10% of HDR videos.
On the K70 Pro, it offers a rare high-frequency PWM dimming of 3840Hz. There are three cameras on the phone, including a 50MP main lens and a 2x telephoto lens. OIS is also supported by the main camera.

Hands-on images of both the K70 and K70 Pro are now available along with more details about their specs. There will be a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with punch-holes cut out, as well as frosted glass backs on both phones.
A large glass camera island and three lenses are housed in separate metal rings on the rear. LED flash is cut out in the fourth cutout. The vanilla K70 will have a 2MP AI camera and a 50MP main camera with OIS, while the Pro model will also have a 2x portrait cam and a wide lens.
In the settings menu, Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0.1 based on Android 14 will be available on both phones, as well as 12GB RAM. Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the K70 Pro, while the K70 will run on what appears to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The Redmi K70E will debut MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300.
