Oppo’s latest ColorOS is here. ColorOS 14 beta has already started rolling out in certain regions, and the Oppo Find N2 Flip will be the first to receive the stable version in mid-November. The following is a list of what’s new in version 14.

Trinity Engine:

The Trinity Engine will be our first stop. A typical phone can save up to 20GB of storage with ROM Vitalization. With RAM Vitalization, Android’s RAM mechanism is replaced with one that is more adept at keeping background apps in RAM. The final component, CPU Vitalization, is responsible for balancing the power and performance of the chipset.

Using an AI algorithm, ColorOS uses Smart Charging to set the charging current according to the type of usage. The purpose of this is to reduce battery wear and tear.

Picture Keeper:

The Picture Keeper feature has been added to the list of privacy features. It adds an additional permission to access certain photos and videos on your device. Moreover, Smart Image Matting can now crop out multiple people and animals from a photo or still frame.

Smart Touch, File Dock, and Smart Image Matting

You can select text, images, and videos from native and third-party apps and collect them in the File Dock with Smart Touch. You can stash content in the File Dock for later use, much like a clipboard. ColorOS devices are synced, so things you’ve saved with Smart Touch on an Oppo Pad, for example, will be available on your phone.

There is now a special treatment for Snapchat users. The Snapchat shortcut can be placed on the lock screen so that users can access it more quickly. You can also see your closest friends’ locations with the Snapchat widget for the Shelf, which provides at-a-glance updates on new messages and statuses.

Aqua Dynamic design:

A polished, standardized user interface was also updated by Oppo. As part of the Aqua Dynamic design, bubbles, capsules, and panels pop up from the status bar to display functionality.

In addition, the status bar and on-screen content are now painted by an Aquamorgraphic Colouring system that selects the most appropriate hues for the time of day.

A new Go Green style has been added to Oppo’s Always On Display. Furthermore, Bitmoji stickers automatically update based on your location, activity, weather, and other factors throughout the day.
