The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch next month, but rumors about next year’s iPhone 16 lineup have already surfaced, with the latest claiming an ultrawide camera upgrade.
Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Haitong International Securities, provided this information. According to Pu, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have 48MP ultrawide cameras. There’s already a 48MP sensor on last year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and it seems the ultrawide camera will get the same upgrade.
Also, Pu claims that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will support Wi-Fi 7, while the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will only support Wi-Fi 6E.

In the latest development about the Apple iPhone 16, details about the rear camera sensor arrangement have been revealed.
According to @URedditor on Twitter, the standard iPhone 16 will have two cameras arranged vertically. It’s also expected to be expanded to the iPhone 16 Plus.
This change will make the device “instantly recognizable” as the latest model, at least when combined with other newer design features like Dynamic Island and USB-C.
With the iPhone 13 lineup, Apple switched to diagonally arranged sensors for the rear camera, and it’s still there in the iPhone 14 series.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will have vertically aligned camera sensors, while the Pro series models will have diagonally aligned sensors.
