On August 14, Xiaomi will unveil a new foldable Mix Fold 3, a massive 2-in-1 Android tablet Pad 6 Max 14, and a Pro version of the Band 8 wearable. That’s not all.
Redmi will also join the party, with the premium K60 Ultra on stage. Xiaomi’s Weibo page has already confirmed rumors of the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, as well as the design of the new device.
Chinese manufacturers advertise a 1220p display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution in their advertising for the Redmi K60 Ultra. Both the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro have 1440p panels, so the Ultra is technically a downgrade.
A variant of the device will be available with 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, making it the first non-gaming smartphone with that much memory, beating out the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
Only two of the three cameras on the back should be proper shooters; the third appears to be a basic 2 MP portrait lens. There will be a 50 MP primary camera and a wide-angle secondary camera.
We expect to learn all the final details on Monday, as well as how much this phone will cost.
