The iQOO 12 is the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone. There was a tip that iQOO might launch the smartphone by the end of 2023, according to a tipster. In a new Weibo post, popular tipster Digital Chat Station revealed some more details about the upcoming smartphone.
iQOO will equip its upcoming flagship smartphone with an OmniVision OV50H sensor for the primary rear camera, according to Digital Chat Station. It is a 50MP sensor with a sensor size of 1/1.28′′ and 1.2μm pixels. In addition, iQOO will use the Omnivision sensor since Vivo’s upcoming Vivo X100 will feature a Sony IMX 9xx series sensor.
DCG technology, quad-phase detection (QPD) for better autofocus, and 8K video recording are included with the OmniVision sensor. According to the tipster, iQOO will equip the device with up to 1TB of storage in China. According to the current smartphone trends in China, the smartphone may also have 24GB RAM.
iQOO 12 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to launch during the 2023 Snapdragon Tech Summit in October. It will also have LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, as indicated by the inclusion of the new chip.
It is expected that the handset will support 100W charging.
