On Aug. 1, Redmi will unveil the Redmi 12 4G in India. In addition to the Redmi 12, Xiaomi will unveil the Smart TV X series and the Redmi Watch 3 Active. The Redmi 12’s specifications and price have been revealed in a new leak by tipster Abhishek Yadav. The same leak revealed the Redmi 12 5G’s variants and price for India. Redmi has not yet confirmed whether the Redmi 12 5G will also be announced along with the aforementioned products on Aug. 1.
It is reported that the Redmi 12 5G will come in two variants: 6GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+1256GB storage. According to the leak, the 5G variant will start at Rs 13,999.
Redmi 12 4G is available in two configurations, including 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It starts at Rs 9,999.
There are rumors that the Redmi 12 5G will be a rebranded version of China’s Redmi Note 12R. Since the Redmi 12 4G has already launched in some markets, including Thailand, its specifications are already known. The display on both smartphones is an IPS LCD with 90Hz, a resolution of FHD+, and an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. Batteries on both phones are 5,000mAh with 18W charging.
The Redmi 12 5G comes with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC whereas the Redmi 12 4G with MediaTek Helio G80 SoC.
