It is possible that the launch of the iPhone 15 will be delayed. Every year, Apple launches new iPhone models in September. There have been instances in the past where Apple events for iPhone launches have been moved to October.
According to a recent report, Apple may delay the launch of the iPhone 15 series by a few weeks this time around. The iPhone 15 launch event may be delayed and held in October, as reported by MacRumors, citing Wamsi Mohan, a global securities analyst at Bank of America.
Based on channel checks conducted within Apple’s supply chain, the analyst made his prediction. According to Mohan, Apple may delay the iPhone launch event until the fourth quarter of 2023 based on the details available. The analyst did not provide a reason for the alleged delay in the launch event.
Later this year, Apple is expected to launch four new iPhone models. The iPhone 15 series consists of the 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. The device will be the successor to the iPhone 14 series that was launched last September. Only Mohan has reported a delay in the iPhone 15 series launch event so far.
Rumors suggest that Apple will hold its iPhone 15 launch event on September 12, which is a Tuesday. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 series was launched on September 7 last year and went on sale starting September 16 in India, the United States, and many other countries. Due to Chinese lockdowns, only the 14 Plus went on sale in October.
Apple appears to have streamlined its supply chain this time around. Apple is reportedly partnering with the Tata Group to manufacture the iPhone 15 in India. A number of other major Apple suppliers, including Foxconn, Pegatron and LuxShare, will also manufacture other models for the company.
