The Galaxy Z Flip5, Fold5, Tab S9, and more leaks just keep coming as Samsung’s next Unpacked event approaches. In addition to showing off the new cover display, a batch of Galaxy Z Flip5 images were released over the weekend.
Below are a few official-looking images posted by Roland Quandt before being taken down. This includes seeing the device propped up while taking selfies, as well as closed from the side, where we can see there is no hinge gap. It’s good to see that the gap has not been eliminated despite some dummy models of the Flip5.
We’re finally learning what the cover display on Galaxy Z Flip5 can do, though. The Galaxy Z Flip5 cover display shows a wallet app with a flight boarding pass, a full-screen calendar widget, a weather app, call history, a time and battery widget with a custom photo, and the ability to reply to a message using a full keyboard.
Many Samsung Flip models have been criticized for their small display covers, but as other brands have expanded their displays, they have also been criticized for limiting functionality. For example, Oppo’s Find N2 Flip lacks apps and is limited to a small set of widgets, and it still has no full keyboard (though unofficial fixes are available).
The Galaxy Z Flip5 appears to have the same cover screen functionality as the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Although some Google apps appear on that outer display, there’s no sign of full apps.
We’ll be eager to test out Galaxy Z Flip5’s new cover display in the coming weeks.

Additionally, Quandt posted an image of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 closed up from the bottom. We get our best look yet with the gap-less hinge design, which looks much thinner.
