Xiaomi is expected to announce multiple products in August, including Redmi Pad 2, Redmi K60 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 6. As for the star of the show, it’s going to be the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset has been reported so far. New leaks, however, indicate that the foldable phone will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 overclocked.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which clocks at 3.36GHz instead of the regular 3.2GHz. This chip is also used in the recently announced Red Magic 8s Pro gaming smartphone. There will be 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage on board. In addition to a 4,800mAh battery, a 67W wired charger, and a 50W wireless charger will be included.
Further, the tipster said that the MIX Fold 3 will be equipped with a waterdrop hinge, which will increase strength and reduce weight.
There have been reports that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have a 6.56-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device will have an 8.02-inch foldable display with a Quad HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1912 pixels. There will be a 120Hz refresh rate on both screens.
There will be an in-screen fingerprint scanner embedded in the inner display.
