The OnePlus foldable is long overdue, especially since every other Android manufacturer has launched one. We should see the OnePlus folding phone in August. Its name has not been revealed, though there have been a few leaks regarding it. Others call it OnePlus V Fold, while others call it OnePlus Fold. The phone will be called something out of the ordinary, according to a popular tipster.
OnePlus is taking a different approach to naming its first foldable phone, says Max Jambor. The company is apparently going to call it the OnePlus Open instead of the OnePlus Fold. OnePlus might use this choice to distinguish its foldable phone from the competition. If this name doesn’t suit your taste, the company also considered OnePlus Wing, OnePlus Edge, OnePlus Prime, and OnePlus Peak.
The name may not sound very chic, but it’s still better than “Fold” or “Flip.” According to a recent report, OnePlus may launch its first foldable before August 19.

The new OnePlus V Fold sports a massive 7.8 inches QHD+ aka 2K foldable punch-hole internal LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, there is a smaller 6.3 inches outer punch-hole AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio & resolution of 2120 × 1080p. Now, the outer display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. There is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for the internal display.
The OnePlus V Fold is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
There is a total of five cameras three on the back and two selfie cameras one outer other for internal display. The OnePlus V Fold features a 48MP main sensor coupled with a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and a 64MP telephoto sensor. There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie shooter on the inner well & 20MP selfie shooter on the outer display. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The OnePlus V Fold packs a 4800 mAh battery with 100W Super VOOC charge support & 15W wireless charging support. It also gets 10W reverse wireless charging support. The OnePlus V Fold runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 on top.
