Earlier this year, Redmi unveiled the Note 12R Pro in China with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. It is part of the Note 12 series, which also includes the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and more. Redmi is also rumored to launch a new model in the series, dubbed Redmi Note 12R. China Telecom has listed all specifications, images, and pricing for the handset.

The Redmi Note 12R shares the same design as its siblings. Its camera module is similar to that of the Poco F5, but it may not be as polished. According to the China Telecom listing, the device has a punch-hole cutout on the front and thick bezels. With a side-facing fingerprint scanner, the handset sports a dual-camera setup at the rear.

There will be three color options available for the smartphone: Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Fantasy.

It features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Redmi Note 12R will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. This may be one of the first phones with this processor.

Based on Android 13, it runs MIUI 14. On the rear, it features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP camera on the front.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GLONASS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast charging.

Pricing:

The Redmi Note 12R will cost 1099 Yuan (Rs.12.600/-) for 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB at 1199 Yuan (Rs.13,700/-), 1599 Yuan (Rs.18,300/-) for 8GB+128GB & 8GB+256GB at 1799 Yuan (Rs.20,600/-) in China. The launch is scheduled on June 30 in China.
