Front Page Technology (FPT) has leaked everything you need to know about the Pixel Fold. Jon Prosser, video host of FPT’s latest video, says that Google will release a teaser next Wednesday, April 26th, when pre-orders will begin. For those interested in knowing how much the Pixel Fold will cost, we can tell you that the 256GB variant (in chalk and obsidian) will cost $1,799 (Rs.1,47,600/-) while the 512GB variant (in obsidian only) will cost $1,919 (Rs.1,59,500/-).

The Pixel Fold will initially be available only through the Google Store and will be officially revealed on May 10th during Google I/O. The device will be available for pre-order on May 30th through carriers. According to Prosser, the Pixel Fold will begin shipping on June 27th. Google will also give away a Pixel Watch with every Pixel Fold purchase, which is a great deal sweetener.

Specs:

The external display measures 5.8 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2092 (FHD+). It has a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and 408ppi resolution; the OLED screen will refresh at 120Hz. With a resolution of 1840 x 2208, the internal display measures 7.6 inches. A thin glass layer protected by a plastic layer covers the OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 380ppi resolution internally.

Google says the battery offers “beyond 24 hours of life.” Like the Pixel 7 series, the Extreme Battery Saver will shut down all apps except those whitelisted by the user.

In addition to 12GB of RAM, the Pixel Fold will be powered by the Google Tensor 2 chipset, which is found inside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. Titan M2 security coprocessor will be used as usual.

On the back of the Pixel Fold, there will be a 48MP primary camera with OIS and an aperture of f/1.7. There will also be an ultra-wide camera with 10.8MP and an aperture of f/2.2. Finally, there will be a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom.

On the external display, there is a 9.5MP hole-punch camera with a fixed focus and an aperture of f/2.2. The internal display has an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. The rear camera can record video in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. The Pixel Fold camera will be marketed for its speed at launch, Prosser says.

Another feature that will be announced is the ability to take selfies with the rear camera. You can also remove unwanted people, pets, and things from your photographs using the Magic Eraser. Using artificial intelligence, Photo Unblur fixes blurry old photos, including those taken with another camera. There are also camera-related features on the Pixel Fold, such as Real Tone and Long Exposure.

As a result of the fingerprint sensor being integrated with the side-mounted power button and not under the display like on Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 models, many users will not have to deal with this problem anymore. Despite the Pixel Fold’s Face Unlock feature, it won’t be secure enough to verify a user’s identity for Google Pay transactions or signing in to some apps.

It will measure 5.5 inches by 3.1 inches by .5 inches and weigh 283 grams. There would be no noticeable difference in weight between the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
