Poco F4 was a huge success in India, and fans are eagerly anticipating the next iteration. The brand did not launch a Pro variant of the F4 last year, but it is expected that both vanilla and pro models will be offered in the F5 series.

It appears that the Poco F5 will be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo, while the Poco F5 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K60. The former device has already been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards, while the Pro model has appeared on the IMEI database. At least the vanilla version will launch in India based on these certifications. A recent leak by renowned tipster Kacper Skrzypek casts doubt on the Poco F5 Pro’s Indian release.

According to Kacper Skrzypek, there are no ROMs for an Indian variant of the Poco F5 Pro. There are no India ROMs for the codename “mondrian,” which is used for the Redmi K60 Chinese model and the POCO F5 Pro global model. As India gets its own MIUI build, Poco separates its Indian models from its global models, including the software. Although this information isn’t conclusive evidence that the smartphone won’t launch in India, it’s still worth noting.

In light of this, readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt and wait for further updates.
