The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are expected to be released in the second half of 2023. Samsung is likely to unveil two foldable phones at Galaxy Unpacked in July or August 2023. As we get closer to the rumoured launch date, Samsung will announce the official launch date. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get new image sensors, according to a new leak.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are likely to be equipped with the same number of cameras as their predecessors. A triple-camera setup will be found on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, while a dual-camera setup will be found on the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
According to Brar, the Fold 5 will have a 50MP main camera sensor. A 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera will also be included. Similar to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus, the Galaxy S23 has a similar camera setup.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. A lot isn’t changing, at least not in terms of megapixel count. The phones might receive new sensors, however, according to Brar. There were no details provided by the tipster about the incident.
In addition, a new hinge will be installed on the phones. A new water-drop hinge will replace the existing U-shaped hinge on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. With the new hinge design, the creases should be less visible. There is a similar mechanism in OPPO’s Find N2 Flip.
