Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 at the Unpacked event later this year. Geekbench has tested the foldable phone in advance of its launch. SM-F946U is the model number listed on Geekbench for the foldable phone. The variant listed above is the US variant of the foldable phone.
Geekbench confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 5G will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This is the same overclocked version found in the Galaxy S23 series. Its peak clock speed is 3.36GHz. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz, in comparison.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 features an octa-core processor and an Adreno 740 GPU. In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 2014 and 5022, respectively. Geekbench lists the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s RAM as 12GB. There will be storage options of 256GB and 512GB when it launches.
According to the listing, the phone comes with Android 13 out of the box. The latest One UI 5 update should be installed.
The phone has also leaked other details in the past. It is said to have the same design as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. In order to reduce the gap between the panels when folded, the hinge design might be changed. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top center of the cover display, which is 6.2 inches tall.
In addition to being water-resistant, the foldable phone weighs about 254 grams. On the back, the phone is expected to feature a triple-camera setup. This device will come with a 50MP camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.
