In the Chinese 3C certification body’s database earlier this month, two upcoming ASUS smartphones with model numbers ASUS_AI2205_A and ASUS_AI2205_B were spotted. ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate are expected to be released in the near future. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipper, today leaked the vanilla model’s specifications.

The new ASUS ROG Phone 7 will sport 6.78 inches 165Hz refresh rate Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display. The device features HDR10+, Always On HDR support, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. The device weighs over 240g & comes with IP54 rating making it dust and water-resistant.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 7 comes with SD 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The ASUS ROG Phone 7 will ship with triple rear cameras with LED flash aligned horizontally. This time the ASUS ROG Phone 7 features a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and 5MP macro sensor with LED flash. The new ASUS ROG Phone 7 features a 32MP selfie shooter. It comes with 4K slo-mo and 8K video recording.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE and 5G support, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Frequency GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio port, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, an in-display fingerprint scanner. The new ASUS ROG Phone 7 will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. It will also have support for 5G networks and runs on Android 13 out of the box.
According to the tipster, the ROG Phone 7’s base model could cost 3,999 Yuan (Rs.48,000/-).
