As it turns out, another phone will launch a few days before the Galaxy A34 and A54 – the Samsung Galaxy F14 on March 24 at noon local time. The date and some of the rumored features have been officially confirmed by Samsung.
According to the fine print, the segment in question is between Rs.10,000 and Rs.15,000 – the F14 will be the only smartphone with a 5nm chip. Compared to some rumors, that’s lower than the F13 launched at ₹12,000 last year.
The chipset is the new Exynos 1330, which is already used in the Galaxy M14 (to which this phone is closely related) and the A14. It has appeared in multiple leaks, including on Geekbench. The phone supports 13 5G bands, so it can connect to the country’s next-generation network. The virtual RAM will be up to 6GB, and the real RAM will be up to 6GB.
Galaxy F14 users will receive 2 OS updates and 4 years of security patches, just like Galaxy A14 users. While this is not as much as higher-end A-series phones, it is still more than what a typical phone in this price range receives. It will come with Android 13/One UI 5.0 out of the box.
Samsung confirms that the screen will be 6.6″ with FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 5. It’s not mentioned, but the refresh rate should be 90Hz like the M14.
Compared to the M14, the Galaxy F14’s 6,000mAh battery will charge at 25W (up from 15W). The M14 has a 50MP main camera on the back and a 13MP selfie camera on the front, so we don’t expect the F-model to have a different setup.
